Breathwork Classes

Experience the transformational power of the breath through conscious connected breathwork. The class lasts for just over an hour and includes an introduction to the breathing technique, mindfulness of breath, followed by 30-40 minutes of conscious connected breathwork. The breathing technique involves full active inhalations followed by a passive release on the exhalation. Conscious connected breathwork can produce a profoundly altered state of consciousness that allows for the release and cleansing of repressed emotions through accessing the hidden depths of the subconscious mind. Following the breathwork, we will do 15-20 minutes of grounding meditative practice to allow for integration of the breathwork experience. Conscious connected breathwork is not suitable for everyone, and is contraindicated in some conditions (see below).

Conscious Connected Breathing practices are not suitable for pregnant women, those with high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, aneurysm in the brain or abdomen, asthma, epilepsy, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or who have been hospitalised for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last few years.

Meditation classes

Meditation has numerous scientifically proven benefits, from reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing mood, focus and creativity, lowering blood pressure, coping with chronic pain and improving sleep. It can also faciliate an altered state of consciousness that deepend spiritual connection. The meditation technique we practice in the class are based on transcendental mantra meditation which involves repeating a mantra in your mind to take you into the deepest level of relaxation and allow for emotional processing.

The class lasts about 45 minutes and involves an introduction to the technique, a settling in process, and 20 minutes of mantra meditation followed by an opportunity to share and discuss experiences afterwards. The classes are held online and are open to anyone.
